I am often asked why I became a massage therapist. There are many reasons, but above all, I believe in the power of touch as a tool for healing, relaxing, increasing overall well-being and happiness. I graduated with a BS in Public Health and decided that with my background as a gymnast and fitness instructor, massage therapy would be the perfect way to serve my community. I believe in a holistic approach to health and try to embody the change I want to see in the health care system. As an LMT, I use many techniques including cupping, myofascial release, neuromuscular massage, sports/deep tissue, pregnancy, table Thai, and relaxation massage. I believe in listening to the client first then determining a treatment plan together. Outside of the massage room, you can find me cooking for friends and family, dancing to live music, teaching fitness classes, adventuring outside, or teaching English to Italian middle-schoolers.

Jenia comes to us with 20+ years as an LMT working in a wide variety of settings, as well as managing her own practices in Florida, Connecticut and New York. She is passionate about offering relief to clients experiencing pain, and making available practical and easy to use tools for those who wish to take charge over their own well being. Melding together modalities such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, Medical Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Reflexology, Shiatsu (5 Element) and Conscious Breathwork - Jenia has come to her own, unique technique of bodywork to address the clients’ at-the-point problem areas; working without oils, creams or lotions, usually over a sheet. Many clients find her work relaxing even if going ‘deep,’ using methods within one’s ‘comfort zone.’⁣

In her travels in North America, Europe, the Middle East and New Zealand, Jenia has offered massage therapy and healing workshops for couples/paired chair massage, self-massage/self-healing techniques for adults & children, and also infant massage for new mothers.⁣

We are so excited to have her join our team!

Lauren, a Certified Tibetan Singing Bowl Practitioner and Usui/Holy Fire III® Karuna® Reiki Master presents SOUND + SOUL, a one-hour immersion in sound frequency healing that cleanses the soul, encourages a meditative state and settles you into deep relaxation. Receiving the energy medicine from the sounds and vibrations of the Tibetan Singing Bowls can retune your total body (physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual) to optimal health. Participants will settle in comfortably on the zero-gravity recliner chairs with a blanket and completely surrender to the sound. No movement or physical activity of any kind is asked of the participants, just total relaxation! Before the session Lauren will guide the collective through meditation and calming breath work, and throughout the sound bath Lauren will infuse the space with the healing energy of Reiki to enhance your soul experience!
